Introduction to Mantrailing Course.
Date: Wednesday 18th September - 5pm.

We are extremely lucky to be able to use Birmingham Dogs Home - Wolverhampton as a training venue.
To thank them we will donate £25 for each course we hold plus £5 from each team booked.
Due to the venue size, we will limit this course to four dogs and handlers and each team will take part in two trails.
What you will need to bring:
- A harness (dogs are not allowed to trail on a collar or a No Pull Harness)
- A long line (7 to 10 metres)
- Water and bowl.
- Your dog’s favourite treats or toy.
- Six small sealable pots containing wet dog food or pate.
- A scent article that you have recently worn, sealed in a food bag. T-Shirt/hat/scarf.
- Warm/waterproof clothing for yourself in-case of poor weather.
- Suitable sturdy footwear.
Please note that we have spare equipment should you need to borrow some.
You will need to bring a scents article - this is an item of clothing such as a hat, scarf or T-shirt that you have recently worn. The scent article needs to be in a transparent, sealable food bag.
Your dog will be left alone in your car for short periods while you act as a trail layer for other dogs during the session.
Please arrive around 10-15 minutes before the start time to allow your dog a comfort break after travelling. The introduction course lasts for approximately 4 hours.
All new clients attending our Introduction course will need to fill out a registration form before we start training.
Each booking = 1 dog and 1 handler per session.
If you wish to work more than one dog or attend with additional handlers you need to purchase additional places or be prepared to share the trails.
Mantrailing is one of the fastest growing pet sports in the world, It is an exciting new dog sport that teaches you and your dog to search out a hidden person using its sense of smell.
Following on from the introduction workshop there will be the opportunity to come and regularly trail with us, this is charged at £25-£30 per session.
We also hold regular themed events that will be individually priced.
