Private One to One Introduction to Mantrailing Course.

Should you feel that yourself or your dog would benefit from, or you would prefer a private session.

Private sessions are conducted over a shorter, 2 hour session as there will be no other handlers or dogs to fit into the schedule.

These private sessions are ideal for dogs listed on the Dangerous Dogs Act, including XL Bullies.

We hold our Private Sessions at Bosty Fields and we need to book a slot in one of their two magnificent woodland walks. Bosty Fields is a very popular Secure Dog Walking venue and arranging a mutually convenient time and date needs to be agreed.

The cost of the hiring the secure woodland is included in the course price.

You will need to bring someone with you to act as a trail layer. I am more than happy to teach you both and award two separate certificates for this course at no additional cost.


What you will need to bring:

    • A harness (dogs are not allowed to trail on a collar or a No Pull Harness)
    • A long lead (7 to 10 metres)
    • Water and bowl.
    • Your dog’s favourite treats or toy.
    • Six small sealable pots containing wet dog food or pate.
    • A scent article that you have recently worn, sealed in a food bag. T-Shirt/hat/scarf.
    • Warm/waterproof clothing for yourself in-case of poor weather.
    • Suitable sturdy footwear.
    Any breed and age are welcome on these courses.

    Please do not arrive early as parking is not permitted until the booking time slot commences.

    Please only bring one car and parking spaces restricted.

    All new clients attending our introduction course will need to fill out a registration form before we start training.

    Our introduction courses are aimed to give you a taste of what Mantrailing is all about, your dog will have three trails over the workshop.

    We only use positive methods for training which makes fun for your dog.

    Mantrailing is one of the fastest growing sports in the world, It is an exciting new dog sport that teaches you and your dog to search out a hidden person using its sense of smell.

    Following on from the introduction workshop there will be the opportunity to come and regularly train with us.
